Comments: I use these for trail skating, as well as doing stuff at the skate park. I use the 187 Pro pads for derby when I'll be falling on my knees a lot, since I like more cushioning, but these are a fair bit slimmer and easier to move in.

Comments:
I personally am a little on the bigger side and even the extra large does not fit. I would not recommend this for someone that is bigger. I can fit them on my knees, however, to get over my calf muscles is another story. I am trying to find someone else to take these. I did fall on them when I was wearing them and it was a good fall, but being my circulation was being cut off I dislike them for that fact. My knee measurements were 17" by the explanations of how to measure in the other 187 knee pads specs areas. If you are smaller I would recommend these though.

Comments: Great knee pads! They have survived fresh meat and are still going strong. Comfy padding and a good fit, so no sliding. I would definitely recommend for beginners or skaters on a budget.

Comments: After 2 seasons of derby with my knee pads sliding off my legs, I finally decided to try the 187 Fly's in XS. They are GREAT! The caps are small for range of motion, but there is actually padding all around then knee. They are more protective than they appear. The fit is wonderful! They are preformed and fit SNUG on the knee so they stay put. Great for smaller, jammer types that need agility AND protection.

Comments: Pros; The materials are fantastic! I could see these lasting a super long time. Truly well made stuff. Cons; This runs VERY small. Like, smaller than the product description implies. That amazingly thick material does not budge! I'm a 16" knee, 16.5" calf and 17" lower thigh. I cannot for the life of me squeeze the XL over my calves. I even remeasured and checked the labels, with a witness, because I was so confused! I had previously ordered the large on accident, and admittedly I'm not sure I can tell a difference in fit. I'm used to being between sizes, and the struggles involved, but having it not fit when I measure below the lowest size on the next size up is really weird. I think I need to look at wing-back style closures instead of slide-ons in the future. Shoutout to IW for having amazing return options, though! Takes the stress out of these situations. Do yourself a huge favor and order a couple sizes with these guys.
