Overview

The Alcedo ONE80 Skates - White/Grey are exceptional urban skates ready to take the streets with quality elements and a comfy feel for all day skating.

The cuffs on  the Alcedo One 80 are height-adjustable and made of reinforced glass fiber-infused plastic for strong and stable feel. Inside the PP hard boots, they have removable liners that are made with high-density memory foam and lycra fabrics with a lot of ventilation holes. The liners also feature lacing eyelets so that you can get a really secure fit from the lacing that is included with the hard boot as well as two micro-metric levers to really hook your heel into the back of the boot.

Down below there is a shock absorber to absorb impacts without suffering and strong frames that can take the heat. 6000 series extruded aluminum frames are high-quality and low profile with a great aesthetic. The boots and frames have 165mm 2pt mounting which makes them compatible with many others should you watt to change later on. 4x80mm wheels are made with high-rebound PU and with an 84A hardness for a smooth feel on rough surfaces with Twincam ILQ-7 bearings to provide a nice roll.

Pretty good skate, narrow fit though. The highlights of this skate are the shell, the appearance, and the frame quality. When its comfortable, the ride is nice and stable thanks to the frame. The wheels seem alright but ride was slow out of the box, so check the axel tightness and the bearings. I haven't attempted any big jumps yet in these skates, but the liner is pretty dense and there is an impact insert beneath the liner heel that is dense too. So it feels stable but might not be too pleasant for super big jumps. I like the buckles, they aren't flimsy and are what I expect with this price point. My big criticism for the skates are the fit, and the liners stitching. Starting with the liner, I like the feel and the density of the foam. However, the handle loop on the back of the skate rips off pretty easily, so I had to go in and stitch that back onto the liner. I also find that the tongue on my right skate tends to fall during skating because one of the stitches was caught and essentially crimped a part of the tongue to be pulling it down. Which causes chafing on my lower shin. It probably could be fixed with lowering the cuff, but I just removed the stitch and keep the tongue tucked out of the liner + lacing the laces through it. My biggest problem with the skates are that they are a narrow fit, and I sized up 2 sizes up from my mondo fit to compensate for my flat feet. I was hoping that it would be wider because of that, but it gave me a pretty knarly blister on one of my feet. So if you have flat feet, you will need to take a heat gun to it. Overall though, these are pretty decent skates and modifications to my fit aside, they have a real stable ride.
