Atom Pro Fitness Skates are higher-end fitness skates that serve as an excellent gateway to low-cut speed boots. Carbon fiber boots with a hinged cuff make them stiff and responsive, but with support and a good range of motion. A ratchet buckle cuff closure is then packaged with Striker Mark II Frames, Bionic ABEC7 Bearings, and Atom Matrix 86A Wheels. Complete packages come with the frames (mount spacing depends on boot size) and wheels to match your selection. 4x90 and 3x110 setups use the same frames accepting either wheel size. Wheels will be the same color, but that color may vary due to availability. Some assembly required.
Comments: Me: Im 40, 170 lbs AFAB, been skating for 30 years. Got a few health problems so not racing but I am looking for a light comfortable fitness skate to maintain my ski legs. So here it is after 4 outings on a pair of brand new Atom Pro fitness skates: 4x110. CONS: On the first skate I had some break-in related cramping issues so I stopped to figure it out. When I tried to put the boot back on the loop at the back pulled completely out of the boot making it really hard to get the skate back on as there were no benches or anything around to sit on. This really made me wonder about the quality of the rest of the boot. Pretty sloppy construction too around the toe, probably cosmetic but with a bit of use who knows. These are sold as unisex so they don't fit well on my super skinny ankles and don't close tightly enough on the upper boot to make the skate stable for me causing cramping and what I'm feeling is a loss of energy in the stride to maintain my balance. Also there is a weird pressure on the outside of my foot inside the skate, I could probably get it punched out but is it worth it? Pros: Def upgrade from your k2's and rollerblades. They were easy to put together. They seem pretty light compared to typical recreational skates. All around ok for what you're getting but make sure they fit you as they probably will pack out a bit. the frames are good the wheels are heavy but roll well the bearings are good. Im going to look for another boot and see how much I can get for these after market since they are probably not returnable at this point. From: Lira, Los Angeles, CA, 2/16/21
