It just worksBeing skeptical about this detergent, I decided to try it out on some old secondhand hockey player gloves since I didn't really care what happened to them. They were plenty stinky, so I figured it would be a good test run. I put them in my washing machine with a full cap of the detergent (more than recommended, but like I mentioned, these things stank pretty bad) and did a full soak before a full delicate cycle. When I pulled them out of the wash, all I could smell was the detergent, which I determined to be a good sign. I put them in the dryer on low heat for a full delicate cycle (NOT recommended, but like I said I didn't really care what happened to these gloves), and when they came out, the stink was about 95% gone. I was extremely impressed. It works great, and if used sparingly, one bottle of detergent should last a long time. I look forward to using it again!

Comments: I'm a hockey mom of 3 teenage boys & I'm married to a hockey coach.  I was super skeptical about special laundry detergent for our gear, but at the same time...our gear has a nasty stench so we didn't have much to lose.  My man does not believe in washing gear...so we have gear that we've never washed in 5 years. So. bad. But perfect for testing laundry detergent.  We handwashed it, b/c we didn't trust our machine for the straps, etc.  The stench came out!  Honestly, we were shocked.  I also tried it in our front loader on some jerseys, socks & underwear that were able to walk themselves into the machine b/c they reeked so badly.  This detergent beat out our regular name-brand free & clear detergent in terms of odor removal, softness & overall clean feeling. We were skeptical, but now we're sold!
