Bont Quadstar Carbon Tracer Skates are an affordable variant of Bont's high-end Quadstar series that features 20-degree aluminum Tracer Plates. Built tough for the hard sport of roller derby, Bont used extremely tough materials to ensure that these skates will hold up.
It all starts with the impressive Quadstar Carbon roller derby skate boots, which are built on an anatomically-shaped last that is based on thousands of scans of actual feet. The uppers are made using tough genuine Australian leather, stitched over a layer of anti-stretch material that helps keep these boots in their best form for longer than many competitor's boots. The inside liner is a suede-like microfiber that is soft to the touch and extremely comfortable.
The highlight of these Quadstar Carbon Skates, however, is surely the carbon fiber base. This upgrade makes the boot stronger and lighter than counterparts that use plastic or leather, and far more responsive to skater inputs. This a game-changing material that makes the skate incredibly responsive to skater inputs, instantly improving control, agility, and the all-important edge work that dominates modern roller derby.
This variation of Bont's Quadstar series features a Tracer Plate, which is the most affordable in their line of aluminum plates. With action set at 20 degrees, it's a versatile plate that is good for all kinds of roller skating, and it excels at derby. It's heavier than Bont's top-end Athena Plate, but it's a massive upgrade over any nylon plate and still offers high levels of performance, regardless of its weight. Bont Ballistic Wheels and Pro Bearings round off this excellent, high performance derby package.
