The CCM FitLite FL500 Helmet was built with D3O Smart Foam, I.Q.SHION baseliner and a multi-layer foam to provide the most protection that CCM has ever offered in a helmet. This triple- and quadruple-layer liner offers a traditional, comfortable feel right out of the box, since it contours very well around a player's head.
The CCM FL500 showcases D3O Smart Foam in the three most key locations in a helmet: both temples and the back of the head. CCM's D3O Foam is rate-sensitive, meaning it feels soft and comfortable when you touch it, but upon a hard impact, it provides the best impact absorption on the market.
For adjustability, CCM utilized a tool-free, front-to-back system that's easy to fine-tune on the fly. The front and the back of the two-piece shell incorporate strategically placed air vents that ensure maximum ventilation during intense play.
NOTE: Only the CCM FM500 cage fits the FL500 helmet. If you order a (SM/MD) Helmet, purchase the (SM) FM500 Cage. If you order the (LG) helmet, you can choose between the (MD) and (LG) FM500 cage depending on your preference.
NOTE: The FL500 is not certified with any visors.
