Comments: LOVE these skates! I am a 9.5 and ordered up to a 10 and m glad I did. The boot is very stiff and wheels that it came with are perfect for what I was looking for :)From: Anonymous, 10/23/20
Comments: These skates are perfect! I, like a lot of skaters, decided to learn to skate over quarantine. I started off with a super cheap pair, and just upgraded to the Chaya Melrose Deluxe. They are amazing! They are incredibly sturdy and feel well made, and they glide like a dream right out of the box (with some minor truck adjustments for preference). I'R0ACR122ve had them for about a month now, and no issues so far. My only problem is that I skate mostly on asphalt outside, so I'R0ACR122ve been getting some dark dusty marks on the white parts of the skate (I have them in Cobalt). But that'R0ACR122s more of a personal problem, and they wipe clean pretty easily. I also ordered these in a size 39, whereas I'R0ACR122m close to an 8 or 8.5 in normal shoes and they fit perfectly. Overall, if you'R0ACR122re looking for a well-made yet pretty inexpensive skate, look no further than the Chaya Melrose Deluxe! From: Mandy, Sacramento, CA, 10/27/20
Comments:Absolutely positively the most comfortable skates ever put on my feet! Toe stops are a bit short for beginnerFrom: Savannah, 10/30/20
Comments: Definitely a great skate. Came fast as well and customer service was excellent! From: Cam, 11/1/20
Comments: Super comfortable and sturdy set up. The wheels are gummy and great for outdoor skating. The arrive in just a few days after ordering too. From: Meagan, St. Luis, MO, 11/3/20
Comments: Purchased these skates as a gift. Hardware was a little difficult to loosen at first, but once it was broken in a bit, the skates felt very easy to wrench on. Boots are very soft and have a worked-in pliability; unless like some faux-leather materials which are unforgivably stiff. I can't stress how important it is to measure the foot in centimeters for sizing. My girlfriend, who comfortably wears a 7.5 shoe in everything, measured her foot and was recommended to order the EU 38 (aka US 7.0). We went with recommendation and the boot feet like a glove, which is what you want for responsive skating; you don't want a 'mitten' fit. Overall, a highly-recommended skate above the over-marketing Impala brand that everyone seems to flock for. From: Tim, 11/4/20
Comments: I was excited to find these skates in stock, but I was worried about the sizing. I'm a 7.5 in womens street shoes. I ordered one pair in EU39 after measuring my feet. Not all rulers are created equal y'all. They ended up feeling a little big. As a newbie skater I wasn't sure if I needed a smaller size and was worried about doing an exchange and getting skates that were too small. I emailed customer support for some info and recommendations and ended up buying a second pair in EU38 which ended up being absolutely perfect. The prepaid return shipping label made the process of picking the right size super easy for me. I was glad I didn't have to stick with skates that were too big, but even if I did, customer support gave me some tips and recommendations for filling any extra space. I've already recommended a few people check out this online shop if they couldn't find what they needed locally. The skates themselves are great. Super padded and comfy. Toe stops have me leaning a little far forward compared to some others I've tried on at this point, but they work. Been skating outside in them most days the last couple weeks and everything seems great after loosening the wheels and trucks a bit. Overall stoked to have these as my first pair of real skates after learning on toy skates. From: Tori, Texas, 11/24/20
Comments: Awesome comfortable skates. Definitely get educated on wheels and bearings as these are serious skates and deserve proper set up for multiple venues. From: Maxine, Pacifica, CA , 3/19/21
Comments: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Chaya skates. These are the most comfortable skate you can buy that are not custom. Very padded and the toe box area is accommodating for a wider foot. The wheels and bearings are great right out the box. A few adjustments with the trucks and you are set. I wear between a 9.5/10 depending on the shoe. So, I bought a EU42 and they fit great. I bought a Bont Suede Toe cap to keep the toes of my skates from getting scuffed and it fit perfectly. My skates came pretty fast. I wasn't expecting them til the end of March, but I got them at least two weeks early (Thank Derby Warehouse!) I wouldn't second guess buying these skates. The comfort and the price cannot be beat. Comments: Love these skates! I wear a women's 8 US and ordered a size 39, they fit perfectly. The skates are amazing quality and feel very sturdy and seem like they'll last a long time. I've only used them a few times so far but I can't wait to see where these take me! The yellow color is super cute too very retro From: Anonymous, 8/30/21
Comments: These are well made and comfy skates with tons of ankle support. The wheels are a little narrow for a beginner outdoors. I ended up being between sizes so ultimately I had to returned and try a different brand. I have a medium to almost wide foot, and these were plenty wide for me. The cobalt skates are a rich royal blue and look very retro cool in person! From: Steph, Michigan, 9/10/21
Comments: Skates are super comfortable, if a little small. I ordered a size up and they are still snug. But, the padding is pretty thick so I think they will mold to my feet after I use them a bit more. The color is exactly like the picture and the wheels make for a smooth ride. From: Kitty, Salt Lake City, UT, 9/13/21
Comments: These skates were beautiful out of the box! However, I have wide feet and they were wayyyyyy too small in the toe box for someone with wide feet. They also seemed to run small. I wear a size 6 (37) in all of my skates (and the size chart also told me to get a size 6), but these seemed almost a half size too small. I normally wear a 7-7.5 in street shoe, so if that's you, go for the 38s. Also, the toe stops are not adjustable (which I knew before ordering) yet they are a bit too short for my liking. I returned these and instead went with a Moxi Rainbow Rider size 6, which fit far better and had more room in the toe box. The boot was also very stiff, which isn't my favorite, but that is personal preference! Overall, great skates if you have narrow feet! From: Lili, Las Vegas, NV, 9/16/21
Comments: fell in love with these skates the second I saw them online and read the reviews. They did not disappoint. They look as brilliant in person as they do online and as soft/comfy as advertised. I am a complete newbie again (skated as a kid some 30+yrs ago & just returning to it). I had difficulty with sizing - accidentally ordered a 38 (I'm a size 8, 8.5 in sneakers). Easy returns. I then ordered both the 39 & 40 just to be safe. While the 40 fits, esp if I wear thicker socks, based on comments that a snug fit is preferred I'll likely keep the 39s & wear a slimmer sock. I haven't skated much in these as still deciding on size so only have skated with the 39s in my apartment but I immediately felt comfortable on these. I went in person this summer and bought Chicago skates from a skate shop - never felt comfortable on those whereas I immediately felt on solid ground with the Melrose from the jump. Gummier wheels, better for me as a beginner. Can't wait to begin skating in earnest. From: Cgem, Boston, MA, 9/22/21
Comments: These are the most beautiful skates. They feel secure and we'll made. I'm still breaking them in but so far so good! I'm a 7.5 and I got a 7. Have to wear thin socks, but I'd rather that than too big. Be sure to follow the instructions on measuring your foot, I would have gotten the wrong size otherwise. From: Jody, Champaign, 9/26/21
Comments: Very good quality, comfortable skates. Materials used seem to be high quality as well. No complains. These skates made an excellent gift From: Aman, Minnesota, 9/28/21
Comments: 4 out of 5. Wheels aren't that great. Didn't come with a skate pamphlet, and they were easily scuffed. But other than all that, they are great skates. My wife loves them. From: V, 9/30/21
Comments: My wife loves her skates! Good price and fast shipping! From: Anonymous, 10/22/2
Comments: love my Chaya Melrose quads..I have been skating for 5 months. These boots are so comfortable, I can ride in them for 12 miles with no discomfort. They are great for skateparks and concrete , smooth asphalt, but the sugar rush wheels are not made for bumpy surfaces or cracks, in my opinion. The wheels are pretty heavy but they carve better than most. I am still on the search for this wheel only smaller and lighter and 78a. I will definitely stay with these skates, just making small adjustments , like loosening trucks a bit, and softer cushions and colorful laces. Thank you Chaya for making a great skate !!!
