The Chuffed Crew Skates are skates made by the skaters and for the skaters with royalties to match and causes that get donations based off of the skaters' choice. Each skate has strong suede uppers with aluminum alloy eyelets and plates. They are strong and comfortable right out of the box with foam padding in the lining as well as a cushioned tongue. They have outdoor wheels at 58mm and 82A that spin fast on ABEC7 bearings. Each model is unique to its skaters' preferences and there are two models available currently 'FUEGOTE' in black and 'BIRAK' in yellow.
'Fuegote' means 'big fire' in Spanish and it is inspired entirely by Sugu. Sugu Valbuena Sanchez is the branding and marketing manager for Chuffed Skates as well as a bona fide shredder in them. The skates have a flaming hot design on the lining to match their name. The black boots have orange eyelets, lacing and a stiched-on logo giving them an overall Halloween look that we love! Sugu receives a royalty from each skate sold and chose the Asylum Seekers Centre to receive a $10 donation as well.
The 'Birak' skates are inspired by the hometown of a skater named Chitty. Chitty is from southwest Australia where the aboriginal natives are called Noongar. In Noongar culture, there are 6 seasons to a year with the first 'Birak'. Birak is the 'season of the young' it's the hottest and dryest time of the year and Chitty encapsulates the colors of the season into a yellow skate with coral pink laces and eyelets. The liners are designed in collaboration with an artist from Perth named Kamsani Bin-Salleh. Royalty goes to Chitty for each skate purchased as well as a $10 donation to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation
