The Green Biscuit Snipe Training Hockey Puck is an off-ice training hockey puck that helps develop exceptional shooting skills. The Green Biscuit Snipe Puck weighs 5.2 oz in comparison to the original green biscuit weighing in at 4.6 oz. Therefore, the added weight provides a more realistic shot feel.
The Green Biscuit Snipe Puck is able to endure high amounts of impact compared to the original plastic material, which means less chipping against posts and sides boards. The material is comprised of a rubber component making it more reliable when performing an array of shot types.
The Green Biscuit Snipe Training Hockey Puck is primarily a shooting puck and not meant for passing and stick handling. Due to the rubber component of the puck the puck doesn't slide as effortlessly as the original Green Biscuit Training puck on the super rough surfaces like asphalt streets. The Snipe performs just fine on the smoother concrete surfaces like driveways, tennis courts, basements, etc.
Comments: This thing is awesome! The slide with the Snipe is a little more rough compared to the first Green Biscuit puck, but the durability is awesome with this thing and definitely makes up for the added friction. The weight is more accurate than the first one as well and I think that is huge when you are doing off ice training. My 3 year old son, who is a big boy, whacks the heck out this puck trying to learn how to shoot and pass and the snipe GB has managed to survive his abuse and stay in great shape.
I am constantly shooting with it as well (6'2"/225) and it has not cracked or fractured in the 3 months that I have used it.
If you are like me and love to try and hone your stick handling skills or just mess around on the back patio from time to time but can't get over that urge to shoot, this puck is a must. Shoot away and feel confident that you have a quality durable off-ice training aide to help you build your skills. From: Paul, CA
Comments: If you are a fan of the Original Green Biscuit this is the last puck you will ever need. Same smooth gliding with a minimal amount of pucks ending up on their side, plus the added bonus of being able to shoot this puck. Great for use in games! From: Eric, LA
Comments: I cannot recommend this puck. I used it on painted concrete. While it was more durable than the original and it a a fairly nice slide, it still cannot stand up to hard shots against the iron. Mine broke within a few hours of practice. I can recommend the new roller hockey version though it has an equivalent slide and has so far surpassed the time played with the snipe. From: John C, Florida, 10/18/20
