Overview

The Powerslide Next Edge SUV 150 Skates use a trinity mount frame (adjustable and removable) that is shorter than what is seen on other SUV models. It is lighter, more agile, and able to skate on and off-road. Use with poles for a cross-country skiing style full-body workout on the road, or take off-road and skate a downhill course or trail.

Trinity mounting means this boot is compatible with any trinity mount frame from PS should you want to change to a more traditional setup. The winged mount under the ball of the foot lowers the skater for stability. MyFit Recall Dual Fit Liners (removable) have memory foam and provide comfort right out of the box.

KEY TECHNOLOGIES
Trinity X Mounting
The combination of the 'along' mounting block of the boot with the 'across' mounting slot of the frame. This allows for frame adjustment both laterally (7mm) and front to back (8mm) to individual preference and/or to correct ankles from wanting to roll (pronation/supination). Trinity frames mount at three points with two off-set winged mounts under the ball of the foot that creates a channel for the wheels to lower the skate, adding stability and power at push-off.

Sizing Chart

GENERAL SKATE SIZING GUIDELINES
Measure both feet with socks similar to those in which you intend to skate. Then use the measurement of the longest point and reference the model-specific size chart to determine size. How to Measure Your Feet for Skates.
Proper fit has the toes not being cramped against the front. Toes may slightly brush the front as heels will settle back when in the skating position. Try on skates indoors while in a seated position. Lace and buckle both skates, tap your heels to the floor, and then stand and bend your knees to simulate the skating position. How to Try on Inline Skates for Fit.
Unisex model displayed in Men's sizing. Use foot measurement to determine size (add .5cm for room at toe).

What I was looking forThese fit the bill for what I needed. I live in the boondocks and our roads are too lousy for traditional rollerblades. These let me get out and put some miles in when I can't get on an ice rink. The boot is pretty stiff, so they can be challenging to get on. I also had to replace the insoles because the arch was hitting my foot wrong. Now they fit pretty comfortably. They certainly take a little getting used to - they are obviously much taller than a normal skate, and rubber wheels hold the road differently than hard wheels. But I got the hang of it within a couple of outings and I'm pretty stoked to be able to get out on rough roads.

Not for meI am a recreational ice hockey player (Bauer 3s), who also uses in-line skates to "Skate-jor" with my 100# Malamute. I've been skating for 50 years. I'm not a pro, but I'm proficient. I recently moved away from my excellent inline trails, and bought these to be able to skate rural roads and improved dirt/gravel bike trails. I'm returning these skates, they're not for me. First, these are incredibly tall. I knew that but you can't fully grasp it until you have them on your feet. If I were, coming from a, larger diameter inline wheel it might not be as significant, but I couldn't get "comfortable." Second, these boots are heavy and rigid. They felt like I was strapping on 20 year old ski boots, rather, than, wearing something comparable to my hockey skates. I gave these a 3 because they seem well built for what they are, but these felt very foreign to me. You never know until you try, right? Grateful for the Inline Warehouse return policy!
