The Powerslide Urban Skate Brake Mount works with many Powerslide urban skates (and some other brands). Brake compatibility will depend on the frame being used. Have rockerable frames? This mount does NOT work on rockerable frames with the axles included. Most rockerable frames use axles that rotate to change the wheel height and do not allow for a brake unless.....you have a special axle that is threaded at both ends. FR Skates (and Seba Skates) have such an axle so that allow for brakes to be mounted to their rockerable frames (FR/Seba Rockerable Brake Axles (FRAXL X2R). We tested this brake axle on Flying Eagle and Powerslide rockerable frames, and it works! It may not seat perfectly flush in all instances, but it works if looking to get a brake onto frames with rockering axles. You would need to buy one of the double threaded axles by FR mentioned above to mount this brake. HOW TO INSTALL:The axles included with this brake mount have a Torx 25 head. A Torx tool is recommended to tighten/loosen.Powerslide Wicked Hardcore Tool or the Rollerblade Bladetool Pro include both 4mm and Torx 25 tools.
1) Remove the rear two axles on the frame wanting to install the brake2) Replace with two of the brake axles supplied (short axles are for frames using one-piece axles)3) Slide the brake mount over the outside of the frame and fasten it with the screws (2) on both ends of the brake axles.
