Next-Gen Design for Next-Level DerbyComing August 2025!
Riedell Solaris Pro 2.0 Skates are an elite-level setup designed for roller derby and offering top-notch performance for any skater who wants to push boundaries. The package remains largely unchanged from the first Solaris Pro Skates, except for the notable swap to the new and improved Solaris 2.0 Boots, of course!
The Solaris 2.0 Boots maintains many of the features that made it so great the first time around, but Riedell did listen to skater feedback and make some key changes to improve their fit and performance. The largest improvement was made by redesigning the tongue, which is now made with thicker high-density foam and a "chambered" stitching design that allows the tongue to curve and rest more naturally on top of your foot. The stiff reinforcements inside of the boot have been expanded, which means more support, more powerful strides, and a more durable boot. And last but not least, a fingerloop backstay was added to improve ease of use and travel.
With an improved Solaris boot on top, dedicated skaters and high level athletes are going to see even higher levels of performance out of the components that are attached below. The plate is a PowerDyne Reactor Pro Plate, made from 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum and carrying a reliable 10˚ action that is both stable and responsive thanks to Reactor Magic Cushions. Radar Halo Wheels have become the standard for high level derby play and are included here at a stock hardness of 93A. Rounding things off are KwiK Zenith Bearings and a PowerDyne Jupiter Toe Stop. With such amazing high quality components, the Riedell Solaris Pro 2.0 Skates are perfectly setup to dominate derby tracks right out of the box.
