Cut Protection Level

This is the general level of protection against cuts.
- Minimum: Basic protection suitable for competitive play
- Standard: Balanced protection for intense gameplay. Protects against more severe cuts.
- Maximum: Highest level of cut resistance for elite gameplay. Ideal for competitive adult hockey and designed for the biggest and fastest players.

Both versions of the Roller Derby Elite Legacy Skates are an excellent setup for skaters who are seeking elite performance capabilities in a comfortable leather boot. This package is available with two different RD Elite plates and both are machined from a lightweight but strong magnesium alloy; the 10-degree Pro Octane and the true 45-degree Axis 45. The Octane plate offers dependable stability and power, while the Axis 45 plate is an ultra-responsive plate that some advanced skaters may prefer. If you're not sure which one is right for you, we recommend going with the Octane.
Elsewhere, all components are the same between models. The Legacy boot on top has full grain leather construction in its upper panels as well as a stitched leather outsole that includes a small external heel lift. There are 59mm, 91A wheels that spin on a set of Bevo Swiss bearings, and down at the front, RD Elite has included their world-class Bounce toe stop.
