The SFR Roller Vision II Kids Skates are the kind of skates your kids should be skating in because they have actual skate components and moving parts, unlike a lot of cheap skates from chain stores. The comfortable boots and fun colors are a bonus! They fit just like sneakers with a low-cut design, standard lacing, and a velcro strap that secures your little ones in their skates. The vinyl uppers are quite durable and will hold their shape, and they have a soft lining and cushioning inside the boot to keep feet comfortable.
Toe stops that are bolted down so that they stay in place, but they are also replaceable at any time with a Phillips head screwdriver. The plates and truck are plastic to keep them lightweight, but the extra flex they provide also helps reduce the vibrations from rough skating surfaces. The wheels are nice and small at 54mm, which keeps their balance low and makes them easy to step and maneuver around on. Please note, SFR lists these wheels at 82A, but they are quite a bit harder than that - our own measurements put them around 97A. That hardness makes these wheels better suited for rinks, indoor floors, and other smooth surfaces.
* SFR specifications list the wheels at 82A, but our own Shore A durometer measured them much harder, ~97A.
