TSG Force III A Knee Pads are exceptional, pro-level protection from one of the most trusted brands in business of protecting athletes. The 'A' is an upgrade that stands for Arti-Lage Foam, which is engineered to mimic human cartilage. This Arti-Lage layer is soft to the touch in its normal state but when met with impact, it hardens, absorbs, and disperses impacts - outperforming traditional EVA foams of the same thickness. As for fit, TSG uses a pre-shaped horseshoe design that surrounds the knee, minimizes shifting, and keeps the pad where it can best protect your joints. Their strap system is without a doubt one of the best ever made, with soft neoprene butterfly straps underneath, a 360° Velcro top strap, and adjustable bottom strap with buckle.

No regretsBeen through a few knee pads and these are by far the best. They stay up beautifully and anytime I hit my knees I feel nothing (which is the point). Cannot recommend these enough if you have bad knees.

Hossy protection for aging kneesI came back to derby after a 10 year hiatus. I'm in my early 40s now and all the damage to my knees from previous years of play had taken its toll. I tried wearing my old low profile knee pads again, but knee taps and falls were just too painful. These are pricy, but worth it for the excellent protection they offer. I was worried that my stance and crossovers would be negatively impacted by the extra bulk of these pads, but that didn't happen. The switch from low pro to these was seamless. If you need to upgrade, these are a solid choice. And, I love the ability to take these on and off without having to remove my skates.

Knee taps for dayyyyysStarting roller derby at 40, I knew I had to splurge on pads. I’m so glad I got these! I wear gaskets under them, but even without my knees can take a beating and I can still walk the next day. Finding the right fit adjustment is kind of annoying, but once you get it you’re golden.
