TSG Force V Knee Pads are designed, built, and certified to offer incredibly high levels of protection for high-impact skaters, especially roller derby athletes and park skaters. The Force V was developed in partnership with pro skateboarder Jono Schwan, who was pushing the limits of vert and mega ramp skating and who needed a knee pad that could handle some massive impacts. That's where the multilayer EVA foam padding comes into play, which surrounds the knee in a horseshoe-shaped design that minimizes shifting and helps keep the pad where it should be when you need it most. One of the perks that the Force V offers over the Force III is the inclusion of anti-shift silicon textures on the inside of the pad that are also there to support a slip-free fit.
The exterior of the Force V Knee Pads are as equally impressive as what's on the inside. First, TSG uses strong, tear-resistant nylon in high-stress areas to improve the overall durability of the pad. The open-back design makes these knee pads really easy to put on and take off without the need to remove skates, and there are neoprene 'butterfly' straps that wrap around the knee to provide comfort and prevent pinching. After those are secured, there's a 360˚ top strap that wraps around the whole lower thigh area and a fully adjustable bottom strap that has a snap buckle. All in all, this is one of the best-fitting, most comfortable, and highly protective knee pads that a skater can wear.
