Cut Protection Level

This is the general level of protection against cuts.
- Minimum: Basic protection suitable for competitive play
- Standard: Balanced protection for intense gameplay. Protects against more severe cuts.
- Maximum: Highest level of cut resistance for elite gameplay. Ideal for competitive adult hockey and designed for the biggest and fastest players.

Bont Athena Plates are a modern adaptation of the classic quad plate, designed with smooth and majestic lines that are entirely befitting an Olympian goddess. The baseplate is crafted to extremely tight tolerances from extruded 6061 aircraft aluminum, making it supremely strong and lightweight. The Athena has a low profile that keeps the wheels closer to the boot and the boot closer to the ground than most other plates, which lowers center of gravity and improves response and control, especially for edge work. The 20-degree kingpin angle strike a harmonious balance between stability and maneuverability, with action that's perfectly suited for roller derby. Additional components include Delrin pivot cups, high rebound urethane cushions, and Bont Toe Go Toe Stops. The Athena delivers power, control, grip, and speed for competitive skaters.
