Roll-Line Dance Plates are an excellent choice for dance disciplines such as figure, rhythm, and jam, but also excel for quad hockey and roller derby players.
The unique 18˚ inclination of the trucks on the Roll-Line Dance Plate provides incredible accuracy while the edges are being engaged and great maneuverability in the execution of dance moves. Even though it's been designed for dancing, any plate that possesses these levels of responsiveness and control is also going to excel in more aggressive disciplines such as roller derby and hockey. This is reinforced by the offset left and right plates, which angle the toe stops slightly and assist in generating speed while pushing, while also positioning the toe stops more naturally for toe-assisted jumps and jukes.
The frame is CNC-machined from a solid block of Ergal (7075) aluminum and includes oversized elastomer cushions that are adjusted by way of a click-action mechanism that allows fine-tuned adjustments. These cushions are available in five different hardnesses and have a massive impact on how the plate feels and performs, so we highly encourage experimentation. Elsewhere, the Dance Plate has 7mm steel axles and a metric-threaded toe stop housing, so please beware when purchasing bearings and toe stops for this plate, as they are not the standard 8mm axles and US-threaded toe stops that you may be accustomed to! An Ambra toe stop and metric tool kit is included with each Roll-Line Dance Plate, so you are ready to dance the day away as soon as you get one.
