Elite Skates

From top to bottom, Tour made sure the LG9 would fit, feel and perform truly elite. The Vorrac boot with its advanced thermolayer composition significantly reduces weight while providing maximum energy transfer. Similarly, the composite matrix outsole provides better side-to-side agility and long-term durability with its torsional rigidity compared to its plastic counterparts.

Internally, Tour raised their liner game with their enlarged L-shaped ankle pads that help to comfortably lock in the feet from the first period to the last. The Accuaire Liner also helps to wick away moisture while the padded collar prevents ankle irritation, especially on those long, tournament days.

Great skateI got these on sale. I was originally worried about the fit when I first put them on, it felt a little narrow in the mid sole, but after getting them baked and playing half of a game, I can already tell these are going to be my favorite skates ever. I have been wearing the KV2 for two years. I really prefer the profile of this skate over that one, gives more room in the toes and over the top of my foot. And it may be a love-hate design aesthetically, but I have gotten a ton of compliments on them ha.

Easy break in period. Great bootI purchased the Code IS after getting back into hockey 11-months ago. They were okay, but never really felt as comfortable as my old Code 1s. These LG9 restored my love for Tour skates. I saw the sale and had to capitalize even though my Code IS are less than a year old. I did bake them, and after one game, they feel perfect. 100% worth the purchase.

Awesome SkateGreat service from IW & great skate after being on 15 mins feels like I’ve owned them weeks. Perfect fit, I as well have a wide foot E in Bauer & these are great.

Returned the skateI love Tours and the GX7 Thor boot was the best. Unfortunately they changed the boot in the next year narrowing the footbed and the overall foot space. At the time I ordered a new pair and (literally) could not keep the skate on more than a few minutes just sitting in my living room. I thought maybe it was me but a teammate had the exact same issue. Needless to say I hoped with this recent purchase they would have gone back to the old style boot. That wasn’t the case and once again I couldn’t keep the boot on due to the pain in the outside of the foot. Clearly this skate is not designed for my foot so I had no choice but to return them. Overall, I love the straight 80’s design and wish I could still wear the skate.
