Overview

Powerslide Phuzion Argon 80 Inline Skates Black - Mens. The proven performance and comfort of Powerslide's Phuzion boot, the Argon this time is in all black and with 4x80 trinity mount frames. Enjoy a quick and controlled ride at 80mm, and when ready for more speed load them with 90mm wheels (max 90mm on sizes EU42 and larger only).
 
The Phuzion Argon 80 is great for recreational or fitness skating with frame versatility to change wheel size (max 90mm sizes EU42 and larger), adjust, or switch out altogether for another trinity mount frame. High-grade nubuck and PU leather uppers have Recall memory foam padding (fixed liner). 45-degree ratchet buckle secures the heel nicely and TRINITY X means the frames adjust both fronts to back, AND laterally. Trinity frames have a winged mount under the foot to lower the skate, providing stability, power, and less vibration. Elite Aluminum Frames (removable and adjustable). High rebound Cruising Comfort wheels are 80mm 83A with Wicked ABEC7 bearings.

Trinity X Mounting
The combination of the 'along' mounting block of the boot with the 'across' mounting slot of the frame. This allows for frame adjustment both laterally (7mm) and front to back (8mm) to individual preference and/or to correct ankles from wanting to roll (pronation/supination). Trinity frames mount at three points with two off-set winged mounts under the ball of the foot that creates a channel for the wheels to lower the skate, adding stability and power at push-off.
HABS Height Adjustable Brake System

GENERAL SKATE SIZING GUIDELINES
Measure both feet with socks similar to those in which you intend to skate. Then use the measurement of the longest point and reference the model-specific size chart to determine size. How to Measure Your Feet for Skates.
Proper fit has the toes not being cramped against the front. Toes may slightly brush the front as heels will settle back when in the skating position. Try on skates indoors while in a seated position. Lace and buckle both skates, tap your heels to the floor, and then stand and bend your knees to simulate the skating position. FIT GUIDELINES: Use foot measurement for the most precise fit. Add .5cm to the measurement for extra room at the toe or if wider feet.

Would Recommend
Solid beginner choiceBought these as my first pair of skates. Being a soft boot, it was pretty difficult in the beginning as my shins felt like they were going to explode. But after a few weeks my shins were strong enough to handle it. They feel pretty lightweight, and fit well on my wider feet (I went half a size up from the size I got by following the measuring instructions). I later bought new frames and wheels for a 3x110mm setup and they are still feeling great for longer distances skates. Very solid, quality skates for the price.

Amazing skates for the priceMight swap for a set of three wheels in the future with no brake. Luckily I can because these trinity frames are great and come off easy if needed. Thank you for the great service and build here.

Would Recommend
Surprisingly VersatileI bought these skates on sale after watching them on eBay all summer. They had been returned unused and were being resold at a discount. I skate for fun & fitness, mostly in the streets and on group night skates in San Francisco. I already have 3 other pairs of inlines, but I wanted a more-comfortable boot to give my feet & ankles a break in-between skating in hard boots. The price was finally to a point where I could no longer resist, and I bought them. As always, IW delivered these skates with supersonic speed, and they arrived on my doorstep the very next day! They fit me PERFECTLY. Although the MyFit liners are heat-moldable, I had no pressure points so it wasn't necessary. They're light in weight, which is a huge plus for me. With just those features alone, I'd be a happy camper. But then, along came more pleasant surprises I discovered as I skated in them. TRINITY FRAMES: Nothing short of amazing. I have pronation issues, and always have to move my frames inward to help correct that. The Trinity frames are so well-balanced on the boots that I didn't need to move them inward at all! My pronation correction is the best it's ever been with the frames in the centered position. I've always put Superfeet insoles in my skates, but I've been using the stock MyFit footbed with no need to change them. I later bought a 3x100 Trinity frame, and assumed with the taller wheels the pronation problem would return. Nope, still perfect! I like them even better with the 3-wheel setup. BRAKE: I use a brake because I skate down lots of hills. The Powerslide brake is the best I've used yet. I love the up-and-down adjustment capability, and the brake pad lasts a lot longer than the ones on my other skates. The brake attachment is ingenious - you can remove the brake without having to remove the rear wheel or even the rear axle, because instead of being longer, that axle is grooved inside to take the screw that holds the back part of the brake. BOOT: I'd previously given up on softer boots because they didn't give me enough support to jump curbs & steps, or climb hills. I assumed I'd just use these skates for in-between days, and wouldn't jump or do hills in them. The boot is perfect for me - not too soft and not too stiff. And the ankle & side support is so good that I can still jump and climb hills in them the same as with a stiff boot. I was really surprised! The Powerslide Phusion Argon skates that I bought as "rest" skates turned out to be my most versatile skates. They completely replaced my Sebas, which I no longer use at all. They perform equally well to my much-loved old Rollerblade Viablades, but without the pain, so that's another pair of skates that will be retired. LOL - I like these Powerslides so much, I feel kinda guilty about waiting all summer for this pair to go down in price.

Comments: Great skates! My first expensive pair of skates and having the adjustable frames is a really great feature. As far as the other review stating there are issues with the latches/buckles...I disagree. The buckles are a bit different than what I'm used to, but once you get used to them they're great. For the top cuff strap, you open the latch, and lift the clip on the other side and pull the strap out. For the bottom buckle, you have to push a little button in and to the inside of the skate, then pull the strap out. Having the bottom strap is great since it ratchets your foot in place. I'm usually a size 10 for a shoe, but I got a size 9 despite measuring for a size 8.5. They were tight but are breaking in well.
